一点小感想， 这次活动是天公最不作美的一次， 也是大家热情最高涨的一次， 是滑得最不累的一次， 也是赶last lift最多的一次。 开过最难开的路， 滑过最陡的trail, 经历过最恶劣的天气（大风，雨， 雪， 还有洪水), 以及吃过最好吃的饭.............

俺们1/29 也要去lake tahoe滑雪一礼拜，有什么好的建议吗？听说附近有好几座山，有的还要坐渡船去，你们去了吗？值得去吗？heavenly有多大，滑5天会不会无聊？在哪儿可以找到discount lift ticket 呀？

Never heard of a ski resort you have to go there by ferry. We've been to Heavenly, Northstar, Squaw Valley, Kirkwood. Heavenly is a mid-size ski resort where you can cover most of the trails within 2 days. I heard Heavenly is beautiful but unfortunately, it was cloudy when I was there, so no comments.

Northstar is beginner friendly.

Squaw Valley is beautiful and a lot of tough trails you can explore.

Kirkwood is OK.

For discount tickets, there are three ways to get them:

1. Your companies benefit (something like working advantage if you ever heard of it).

2. The hotel you stay may sell discount tickets as well.

3. Check this website:

Specifically for Heavenly lifting tickets, you can get discount at Albertersons which is a local grocery store (in SF area). Tickets bought there are actual lifting tickets that you can get onto the slope with it. No need to exchange it in the ticket office.

This year's X'mas is really an abnormal one for ski condition, UTAH is no exception. My friends went to UTAH for a week's ski trip for X'mas, but skipped skiing in the first two days due to rain and poor snow condition... But now everywhere has good snow! Heavenly and Kirkwood got 102cm snowfall within past 48 hours...

As far as I know, only Colorado had awesome powder snow and good weather during whole holiday. Undoubtedly Meca for US ski lovers!

102cm new snow in 48 hours...... Man~~~ I would rather stay there if I had known this.

I've been to only 5 of the 12 listed by GreenT. Jackson Hole is on my list for next year. Whistler, maybe this year.

Mammoth is a  beautiful place. I was trapped there by snow 3 years ago (not for skiing though). But it's not near from any other ski resorts. I'm not sure if I could stay there for a week.

Aspen, Aspen Highlands, Steamboat, Telluride are on my list as well.  God, it's getting longer and longer to fill up my next 5 year ski plans......
