You are amazing, yes, abstract art is my favorite, it is very difficult to draw, to create, not
everyone knows how to understand and appreciate the artist's mind trying to commmunicate with u
s to convey the message.
All art begins with realism, ended up at abstract, in between is xieyi, I started with Botticel
li, developed to Matisse, Modigliani, Gauguin, Chagall, Klimt, Egon Schiele, matured at Cy Twomb
ly. I've visited Moganshan and other old art establishments in April and July, 2006, discovered
a few interesting galleries, visited a talented architect Mr. Deng Kunyan both at his old and n
ew projects. I think Shanghai's art galleries and their directions are much lively than its muse
ums, ( stiff and rigid, from its design of building to its display of contents). Shanghai should
be able to desgin and build a world class art mseum, I can only categorize current Shanghai art
museum in provincial class.
