F1 renew 。

They didn't answer any of my phone calls and email, but the walk-in application was nice and easy.
2. The French Consulate is located at the north-east corner of the intersection of Lake and N Michagan , a dark looking building with a CVS at its ground floor.
3. Need to follow all the document requirements on its web site. If you do,the visa application is pretty straightforward. I was not asked even onequestion.
4. I requested 1 entry valid for 20 days and was given multiple with half a year time.

Procedures to make a Visa interview in Nogales consulate
My appointment was in 18. Jan to change B2-F1. following is my expience to make the travle to Nogales and so on.
1. The first step is of course to make an appointment; you can use the linkbelow www.visa-usa.com.mx or use the reservation telephone as well.Attention: for on-line reservation, you need to pay the 10 dollars reservation fee at first; otherwise you would never get any info from the website.
2. When you decide the interview day and the place, try to find is there any plane ticket available which matches your schedule and budget. Below is a website providing cheap tickets to students. http://www.studentuniverse.com/
from my experience, it is better to go there one day ahead of the interview and you can catch a back plane any time later than 7:30 pm the same day you make interview. Normally, you will get your visa 3pm of the same day.
3. Book a hotel or motel in Nogales Arizona (not Mexico side). The motel 6 in Nogales is a good choice. It is just 3 miles away from the border and less than 50 dollars for one night, besides the guy there is pretty friendly and even offered to accompany me to Mexico while I can't speak Spanish. (if youare not a pretty young girl, please don't look forward the latter one)
Reservation Phone: (520) 281-2951 and sure there is a website, just search ‘ motel 6 in Nogales' in goggle, while after a time the system can not provide the same info any more.
4.The nearest airport to Nogales is Tucson and have about one hour driving time from the Nogales international border. There is Schulte bus in the airport and just ask them to take you to Nogales Arizona (again not Mexico , if you would wait till the second day to across the border). If they don't, take a taxi and go to ‘ Nogales shuttle express'. From airport to the Nogales costs 18 dollars.
The telephone of the Nogales shuttle express: 520 741 2240
Address: 1931 s. 6th Ave .Tucson Az.
5. When you arrive the border, there is still 3 miles from the motel 6 and it costs 5 dollar to be there.
6. Have a good night, and about one and half hour before your interview time you'd better leave the motel. You can ask the motel guy to have a taxi for you to be in border. And after that just go across the border and you are in Mexico .
7. There are many taxi in Mexico border and be ready to carry you to the consulate. It costs 8 dollars to consulate and you can also ask them to carry you to the Banamex bank to pay the application fee. By the way, the bank is just 10 minutes walk time from consulate. The bank opens at 9 o'clock so you would be late if your interview is before this time, but it does not matter to be later a while. If you are a really on-schedule guy and would like to be on time , there is another way to pay the application fee. Just go http://www.tjusvisa.com/ and pay 29 dollars service fee plus some mail fee, they would send you the bank draft of Banamex.
8. The cello phone and any other electric devices are not allowed in the consulate and there is no place for you to store those things in consulate temporally. But don't worry, 50 meters from the consulate, there are persons selling foods with a green sign on the wall, just ask them to keep your thing for a while. They are really great persons and would make it for free. (Actually, if you felt sorry not to pay anything for storing of several hours, just bought the one dollar cola or any food from them as I did).
9. Now, you are in the consulate and wait for interview nervously. Don't let yourself just sit there quietly, look around, try to find some hot girls(if you are guy) or boys(if you are girl) and talk with them. You know, your interview would finish anyhow before 12 o'clock but you would not receive ituntil 3 pm. Believe me, you don't want to stand before the consulate for more than 3 hours alone. Take your new friend to a restaurant and enjoy some really good Mexico food.
So far are thing I concerned as important and wish you all have good luck with the interview! |
